Does anyone know if Cold Steel makes a Vaquero Grande unserrated...and if so, where I can purchase one?

Thanks

Bandit

Well Bandit, unfortunately Cold Steel has not yet deemed it necessary to make a Vaquero Grade without serrations.

If you want to get acces to a grinder you could try removing them yourself, but obviously this would completely void the warranty.

For the closest (and imo, better) thing, check out the SIFU by Rekat.

They do make the El Hombre, which is a 4 inch blade of the same pattern in plain edge.In fact not to long ago I clamped mine in a Lansky and used the diamond hones to sharpen it.Man what a slicer that baby is sharp and with those curves it cuts like a hawkbill but has a usable tip also.I have been carring my BM 710 at work and MT LCC at home but now my El Hombre keeps finding its way into my pocket also.

Sometimes I don't understand the "Exhaulted" Mr. Thompson. He designs a beautiful knife like the Vaquero Grande, then he bastardizes it by putting a Ginsu edge on it. I am not the only knife knut out there who would be a proud owner of a Vaquero Grande, if it were not for the lousy serrated edge. Mr. Thompson are you listening?
