I wanted to get a disc grinder going in my shop but the one on my craftsman was way too fast....so I rigged this up. Using my frankenstein grinder, I used a 2x42 belt running from my grinder's drive wheel to the crafstman's drive wheel. Now I can run the craftsman wheel at variable speeds using the multiple pulley option...just like my grinder. Granted, it is still a really small wheel, but it works for now. And may I say, grinding on a wheel is a huge advantage to getting great flat grinds, tapered tang, etc. Enjoy!

thats a neat setup. if you like your 6" for grinding flats, you'll love a 9" for grinding entire blades or roughing one out. i put a 24 grit disc on mine and go to town. i can grind a small blade in no time compared to grinding the same one entirely on my belt sander. i have a few vids of chuckinohio learning how to grind a 13" knife on my disc sander. i'll have to post them on my website sometime soon.
