While I had the camera out today I went ahead and snapped a couple of pics of a variation of the Chesterfield Chopper. This knife was designed as a pure workhorse. I was after a knife that would chop, cut and slice when it was needed. I have been testing this around the shop to clear some brush that was hanging down and hitting me when I mowed, some of of it was green and some of it was dead hedge. I also chopped up some pesky 2 X 4 scraps that just happened to be laying around and I sliced up a perfectly good 1" rope is into much smaller chunks. It has preformed very well and I like the way the handle sits securely in the hand. A quick trip to the shop and I will do some refinishing to take out the cosmetic scratches form all of the chopping and slicing.
The blade is 9 3/4" long, 2 1/4" wide at the widest part and it is just a shade under 1/4" thick. The guards is 416 stainless steel and the handle is solid black of black micarta.
