Variations in flipping action...

I've noticed, particularly in "recommendation" threads, lots of comments like - "the 0562 is a great flipper," or "nothing flips like a X." And so on. It's got me to wondering whether you find more variation in flipping action (however one wants to define that) within a model or among different models by the same maker? In other words, would you expect five 0562s (for example) to flip essentially the same, but different from, say, an 0801? In my experience there's as much variation within a model as across model lines.
(I'm definitely a ZT fan and own way more Zts than anything else - so it's not a complaint, but a question on others' opinions on what I think is an interesting artifact.)

It varies within and between models. Different models have different springs, blade size, and blade length, all of which affect how quickly and forcefully the knife opens. And when comparing different specimens of the same model, not each spring is going to be identical, especially if the knives are used. If they're all brand new they'll likely be rather similar but I'd still expect some amount of variation knife to knife.
