Cord handle black over sharkskin (knife made with traditional Japanese methods) hammered finish at top of blade 12 layers of "aogami" a.k.a Japanese super blue steel. 15 layers (super blue is made by adding chromium and tungsten to white steel resulting in more durability & edge holding) also has tradition wooden sheath.
