Vectors Hawk updates?

Vec:
You Sir, are indeed a 'piece of work'. It is always a pleasure to see what you are doing. We got to meet one day. BTW over on Paladin Press website under Paladin Planet you'll find a blog from thier video director with pics of some of the training we were doing for the video shoot in October. You'll also find some other pic along with some trainers that John Stanley designed ...that the TAKknives.com I believe.
Keep up the good work

my Erica would definitely agree with ya on the first sentiment - har!

i just love hawks, and know what i want - there is a lot of road to cover still, we just do what we can with our limited resources.

at least it remains fun.

thanks, we appreciate that - i always want to throw up whenever i post something - har! :D:thumbup:

i regret that i can't make promises right now as far as posting pictures or in depth descriptions of what we are doing, brother silas - and this is why;

the Mk 4's are morphing right before my eyes into a couple different things, which didn't occur to me when i started working on their design (i have always loved the cathedral-window cross section of the Gen 1 Series Composite Handles, so all the changes in the handle have been in the Endoskeletal Structure - but now we are looking at options for the exoskeleton, and thereby, the silhuette of the hawks, and a greater number of heads they can be put onto easily.)

some of the new developments have overlapped into some prototype work i have been doing for some American companies to keep the Hawk Project going - and it behooves me not to publicize those for fear of "stealing their thunder" - i actually recently sent in a protoype hawk to one company that was just to qualify what we could do for them, no "bragging rights" at all involved in the new design, and the owner did a right turn from what he orginally stated, and sent it off to a Tactical Magazine or some damn thing i am not quite clear on, although that company was clear that it "weren't supposed to be nuthin'". - then their excitement ignited my inner redneck need to show myself up and we are finishing up another modified design of theirs, which is also just supposed to suggest what is possible - but i suspect they are going to freak over it once it is in hand - we are already sleeping with it here... i have got to get medicated, this separation anxiety with my hawks is really nailing me - hehehe!

it's kind of scary - the Hawk Project has its own mind and no one has the reins some days.

association with the reputable comapanies that we have been doing prototype work for will (hopefully) allow us to get our own heads sooner than we originally anticipated (keep praying! it's working so far!), plus all the important handle features that i want to ultimately make standard, such as Sectionality, and Replaceable Skins, plus Internal Storage capability and a host of other things, including but not limited to lighter weight, higher strength, and better performance in each hawk.

we almost had a dog fight in the Hawk Dungeon the other day when a visitor saw one of the prototypes, to give you some idea of the excitement/troubles we are experiencing here, and i am really not kidding. - he started bidding my rent budget right there - i almost whored myself out on the spot - it got ugly.

we ain't great yet, but the future looks exciting.

if we don't show much between now and the SHOT Show, we should have a bunch immediately afterwards that we will publish.

we are trying to stick with really honest folks to grow with and we have been courted by some different folks that can make us grow quickly, but with strings attached, and i'd like to stay independent as possible. - this business was not supposed to get this big - ever.

it's fun as hell though - just the folks at Thanksgiving were pretty incredible - but that's all i can say, sorry for being so damn cryptic - if i was smart i'd just erase this stupid post (to save embrassment if we go tits up), but i want to run this company transparently - with a damn good product, but with the other part of that equation being clientele that are really our partners - not just folks whose wallets we intend to rape, and then cast them aside.

and i think that is the way to do it;

live True or Die.

if things continue in the vain that they have in the time just short of two years that we have been working on the Hawk Project, then i expect everyone involved will profit.

....we've gotten closer to making old tools new again in some ways, and we are heading towards making improvements that i am not aware of existing before in hawks or similar tools - tools that will benefit the troops - even the blind ones that don't appreciate hawks currently.

it's all on paper, in my notes, and there will be more notes, with four or five pages a day happening;

the future will say what is True.

just Patience now.

.........

there may be an exception to the lack of hard updates - we are thin on funds from all the materials we just bought, but i am about to mug an old lady to get my airbrush equipment, compressors and paints namely, completed, and then we might see me finally be able to do some serious artwork and custom camouflages on the new Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawks.

we've been commisioned to do some Nature and Rock'n'Roll themed hawks that i am really excited about doing.

....which might be interesting to some of the fellow-babies here.

let us know, brethren.
