Velcro snap

Did anyone have trouble with the old sheaths, velcro snap? Like the velcro flexes and doesn't allow you to undo the snap with one hand. Ideas to fix? All the old sheaths use to look like this, but with out the side pocket for the smaller models.

That is a new one on me. Take some heavy duty thread and throw a few stitches in it to try and keep it from slipping maybe.
