Wanted to upgrade to bonded diamond stones for my Hapstone, so I bought these last year. Discovered that I prefer dovetail backing plates. Since I tried them on one blade, I couldn't return them.
Sold. PPFF no notes. Can also take USPS money order, cash, personal check but the stones won't ship until it clears.
I will entertain trades. I've been looking for a Maxace Goliath 2.0 m390 or s90v. Two Sun Vandal in m390...I like long (+3.5") wide bladed flippers, also looking to try out different spyderco steels in longer bladed variants, like native chief, manix xl, millie etc.
Here's the info from the Gritomatic website:
Centaur Series is dual side diamond with two 1 mm-thick diamond-bearing layers on the aluminum plate. The diamond-bearing plate contains evenly distributed diamond grains with resin bonding. The manufacture of bonded diamonds is more complex than for coated diamonds. Bonded diamonds provide better feedback and give the sharpening stone a much longer lifespan.
All Venev diamonds use FEPA-F grit classification.
F80 + F150
F240 + F400
F800 + F1200
My pictures of the actual stones. Other than some minimal discoloration on the surface of the stones, exactly as received from Gritomatic.
