Up for sale today are my Spyderco Sharpmaker Diamond Rods, and Venev 6” x 1” Dual Sided Bonded Diamond stone.
Spyderco Sharpmaker Diamond Tri-Angle Stones - SOLD
These are the model 204D stones, sold in a set of 2. They measure 7” x 0.5” and are designed to work with the Sharpmaker. The rods are blanketed in a bonding agent then covered with diamonds. They are ideal for re-profiling. I have used them in the past, a handful of times. I prefer Barkeepers Friend to clean coated diamonds, but other means works as well. They come in their protective tubes.
Venev Dual-Sided Bonded Diamond Stone - $16
This is the 400/800 dual-sided stone. It measures 6” x 1” x 3/8”. The stone is an aluminum plate with two 1mm-thick diamond bearing layers. The diamond layers are evenly distributed diamond grains with organic bonding. The grits are clearly labeled on the side of the stone with arrows. On the opposite side you’ll see the micron ratings of the layers - 5 to 7 microns and 14 to 20 microns. Splash with water for best results. Directions say to dress occasionally with loose SIC grit, but I find a Lansky eraser, or a nagura stone keep these stones clean. Comes with protective plastic pouch.
