Hello knife world! I have another of the popular Verde Ranch Hunter knives to offer. This one is in Crucible D-2 tool steel. I mention Crucible because this is not some no brand steel from another country. This is Crucible's D-2 that has tighter tolerances, is more pure, and has a higher vanadium count. The heat treat is done, as always, in house. I use the Δ heat treat protocol, with pre quench, cryo pryor to tempers, and low temp tempers. The final hardness is 62.5HRC. After the hand rubbed satin blade finish, under light at certain angles you can clearly see the carbide structure! The grind is full flat from already thin stock, terminating in a very thin edge. The handle is black g10 hand rubbed to 800 grit and polished for a very black color. The edge was sharpened using diamonds and fine ceramics and is just wicked wicked sharp. This is quite the game processing knife, and D-2 is known for just hammering through meat protein, due to those large carbides. It has all the wear resistance you need for game processing, and is equally at home in the kitchen as well! D-2 isn't known as a tough steel, but the heat treatment I use with the grain refinement pre quench and low temp temper protocol with cryo prior to tempering, it has all the toughness D-2 can possible have, and has one of the best heat treatments....in the world! Nacho!

(Note to buyer: This is NOT the CPM version of D-2, but rather the ingot version. This is Crucible D-2, just not their PM version. I've heard that butcher's who routinely cut up meat with D-2 prefer the ingot version, due to the larger carbide structure.)

Paypall preferred (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). All knives come with free shipping in the USA as well as a lifetime unconditional warranty. Something goes wrong, the knife gets repaired or replaced. I ask that the buyer be aware that most all of my knives are cutting tools and are made only for their intended use. I like to make thin, hard knives that excel at cutting and not necessarily able to take abuse. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me here or contact me by email (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). Thanks for taking a look, and follow me on Instagram at stuartalandavenport.
