Does anyone know how to make a hand held bandsaw into a vertical bandsaw. The one I was using was borrowed and I need to get or make another one. The problem is I don't have that kind of money laying around. I have a hand held and at one time I seem to remember someone posting a way to do it. I have the steel to build the stand but can't figure out how to mount it so that it can be taken back out if I need it for other jobs. I have googled it and can't find anything on how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of handheld do you have? Do you have pictures? Besides the frame, do you need some kind of table plate to hold the piece you're working on? Pictures of the saw would help.

I made a simple 3/4" plywood back that I put in my bench vice. It disassembles by removing the wing nuts. It could also be mounted to the wall.

The table is a piece of stainless sheet with a small piece of angle iron tacked to it. It is attached to the saw with a simple C-clamp.

With keeping it portable, here is my favorite:

Without keeping it portable, NickWheelers is tough to beat.

Milwaukee. Yes I would like to have a table, just not sure how to mount it.

That is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks.

I don't own this stand as I discovered it shortly after I built a decent working alternative (probably temporary) out of a 4x6 and osb. I believe that the lines simply indicate where 'flat' ends and the radius begins - whether helpful during the bending process or just a guide for the user, I don't know.

I really like the design of this stand with one exception - the size of the cutout for the blade seems a bit large for fine work. I'd ask the maker if they could make it only slightly thicker than blade thickness.

Looks pretty nice though.

That's a good point. I'll ask when I order it.
