Finally got a chance to make a sheath for this one,
I knew with the contour of the main blade, it would
work very well to be retained in a sheath and it does ;)

It's a Case 6231 1/2, a Case XX 6 dot code, which I am lead to understand
that it was made back in 1974, back while I was in the Navy

Heading to Clearwater FL for the week for work, will be bringing this folder
along for the ride :)

Thanks James, while you could just carrry the knife in your pocket,
lint and gunk seems to be drawn to the blades and insides like a magnet!
This helps to keep it clear of that stuff and also makes it a bit handier
even when sitting down to retrieve the knife, it's a nice knife too! :)
here's a Thread started about the knife itself.

Classic knife and just a wonderful sheath. Glad to see something of yours again. Just immaculate work.

Thanks, I take a break over the winter from leather work,
on this sheath you can see along the last few stitches where
I back stitch a couple to anchor the stitching in place.

Good to see you back at it, Gary. And it's good to see you haven't lost your touch. :D

That's a beauty.

Thanks guys, got to give her a carry in Clearwater this past week,
very handy and just love the size of that knife too!

Howdy Gary. Nice work and excellent detail on that sheath. Could we get a picture of the backside? Sure would appreciate it.
Thanks, Ray

Thanks Ray, the sheath is made from one piece of leather, folder around
and then down behind the knife, sort of leather origami kinda thing.

I form it, dye, emboss, glue it together, stitch it up by hand, sewing down
to near the bottom and then I bring the stitches back up to the top side
and glue the folded down back side to make the belt loop, then I punch
holes around the bottom again, thread the one side of the thread back
through the hole to continue sewing around the bottom. Then I back stitch
a few stitches to lock the thread in place.

I have my G2 stamp, then the month and year and then my little Right footprint
just as a reminder to always start out on your right foot when you wear the knife ;)
