I bought this for my train ride to work but i now work from home - so i'm passing this on.
The 11x18 soft armor panel is undetectable and there's still a TON of space for your laptop and gear.
Active shooter? or maybe stuck in chaos? I would put the backpack on in the front and you have 18" of coverage for your torso.

The gear in your CCW compartment is just a tug away with the Rapid Access Pull tab and the main compartment opens like a clamshell to let you load, find and remove items quickly and easily.
