Hello to all,

Here I have something a little different still. Sometimes I think I get a little carried away with my ideas but this I thought would be a good one to go ahead and build. I have done this style of knife before but the sheath with stag inlay is something new. I think it is an idea that grows on you after awhile. At least it did me. The star is something that can also be changed to a hand made ivory concho or something other than the star.
All comments are welcome. You can be brutally honest if you wish.

The blade is CPM 154 CM .202 thick 1.136 high at the start of the swedge and 3.930 from tip to guard. O/A is 8.5 in. It has been heat treated to 60-61 RC with a cryo quench and double tempered 2 hrs ea. time. Blade has been ground with 10 in. wheel, mirror finished then the flats are satin finished to 1200 grit and the hollow grind is brushed to 2000 grit.

Guard is 416 stainless pinned and soldered with NO chance of pin holes.

Handle is Sambar stag with fosil walrus accent. Pammel is aircraft aluminum with carved groove. The tang is mortised tang that runs into the pammel .125 in. VERY strong construction. This knife feels great in the hand.

The sheath is 8-9 ounce hand stitched leather with sambar stag inlay, and star concho. The stag is mounted to a .030 thick brass flange that holds it very securely. The knife snap fits very securely into the sheath yet is easy to withdraw.

Asking $450.00 plus $15.00 conus shipping. I accept paypal. Thank you. Alan

Very nice Alan!! A lot of thought is in this design, both knife and sheath...and there's a lot of time and energy in the making....a really beautiful package!!

Alan:

A lot of work, premium materials, fit/finish, and design - worth every penny and more!

Hello Alan,
Great looking knife. alot of thought went into this knife and sheath package.
I try and purchase from you at the annual Eugene show but you are mostly sold out.
Any chance for a price drop for a repeat customer.
Thanks Tom

Wow Alan...amazing work. Good thing I was out of town for the weekend or my bank account would of been angry at me. Really enjoying the EDC/Bird&Trout with the dyed blue maple handles I bought from you...love the M390. I carry it nearly every day!

Thank you Man. Glad you like it and so cool that you cary it so much.

This knife has turned out pretty well. Not everyone likes it at first but it grows on ya. I like to try to be inovative and try something new. That is what makes art fun. I could never imagine doing anything else.
