Came across Orange Vise company on a machining forum.

Seems that the engineer Sol left Glacern to start this company. Some pretty cool info on this site as well like this sfpm calculator. For the those folks that building grinders nd need to know rpm and sfpm and drive wheel diameter relationships, this has a great calculator.

there is a thread where the owner asks what folks want for the home shop use. If you have some wants and desires, chime in and let him know since he will be making smaller more affordable vises for the home machinist.
 
As a full time machinist, I wish these vises came out a few years ago. "I" (the company I work for) bought a dozen Kurt's of similar size, without half the features, for the same price. I'd looked at Glacerns stuff before, and even have a bunch of their Drill chucks. Their vises never appeared to be of a high quality, however. I'm glad he went out on his own-- and if I need new vises, I know where i'll be going.

Also, his video production is top notch, and was probably what sold a LOT of people on Glacern in the first place.
 
It looks like he has some very nice features included.

It's true, you've not gong to buy them unless you're doing production CNC work but the same is true for the Kurt models at the same prices.

I'm curious what else he has instore.
