Hi all! My name is TK Dye and and thanks to my friend John M Cohea I just recently finished my first knife, and boy am I hooked! He got me signed up hear and told me to read and learn and don't be araid to ask questions, so I look forward to learning a little something from all the fine folks here!

TK is off to a good start. I can't seem to get the pic to upload, but the finished knife is 9"x 1 1/2" wide at the widest point and 3/16 thick made from 01. Handle is cord wrapped with hemp and soaked in epoxy. The sheath is made from a piece of oak salvaged from a pallet, flamed with a torch and wrapped in hemp.
Keep in mind we made this on the boat, so it was all done with files, and hand tools, as well as a little help from a bench grinder for profiling and an angle grinder to start the bevels. He's hooked, because he's already looking into what grinder to buy,ect.....:D

cant get a pictuer up at this time. i am really haveing fun making my knife, with J ohns help. cant wait to get the proper tools to do a better job.

Great to have a new addict on board!!!! Kudos to John pimping out BF!!!! :D Welcome!!!

Welcome! I like your knife, it reminds in a way of a tai goo knife, like this. Keep up the great work, I file at this stage, too, it is a drag!

Actually Keith this knife is sorta based loosely on I knife I got in a KITH swap on another forum last year that was made by a fellow in Az. that was a student of Tai's, except mine has a socket handle that is cord wrapped.
