Very nice but....

I have that exact same knife. I like the blue, but they also offer several other colors. I have blue, yellow rose, antique amber and red stag.

Bunch of old fogies in here need to get with the time and embrace COLORS!!!
LOL.
No, but seriously, I like it. Some folks like bright colors, some don't. That's the beauty of traditional pocket knives. There's something out there for everyone.
I am actually a BIG fan of bright colors on a traditional pattern. For one, it makes it a bit "prettier", which means it is less intimidating and more attractive to any nearby sheeple.
I also like it for the reason that has already been mentioned. It is easier to see if dropped somewhere.
Go for it, the Blue looks good!!!

Thank you for your replies. I like the knife a whole lot. The color, well, it is a tough knife with a 1095 blade, it's a user and I'm sure those scales in due time will acquire character or something. Actually, the more I see it, the more I like it. Besides, the bone is perfect, dense, unblemished, perfectly well fitted... Cool knife.

Oh, I didn't specify about the color because I never thought I'd get a knife with bone handles that looked like that. I mean, who would think using a color like that for a traditional knife? Oh, well, all's cool.

You can probly still send it back though for the cost of the postage

I like it. Bright colors are by no means unheard of on traditional type knives. All sorts of gaudy colors were used in the heyday of makers such as Remington and Camillus. Not bone though, but celluloid and other types of man made materials. Solid colors as well as all manner of swirls, stripes and random patterns were used on many of the knives, and it was quite popular. In recent years Case has used brightly colored bone, using blue, green, orange, purple and lots of others too. So, its not really anything new, just different from what we have been conditioned to see in what is the current traditional knife world.

I've a couple of Case knives in blue and I can't say I really like them,
but I don't hate them either.
They wouldn't be my first choice put it that way.

I like colors! I think that is a good-looking knife. I am planning to pick up a Tidioute #72 myself sooner or later... Enjoy the new knife-

Looks kinda bright to me, too, but if it's as nicely made as you say, I'd still carry & use it.

That color blue wouldn't be my first choice but I don't have any problem with flashy colors in general. I'd take something in orange, yellow, bright red, or even a nice purple any day. It's nice to have a little variety and I like seeing that it's being done in bone as well as synthetic materials.

to me it looks "non scary" and very smurfy!

orange or yellow would be better, even very bright
gec's red and green tractor along with this one are not my favourite colour
but I/you may get used to it actually...
