Well I have had this sitting up in a drawer for a while. It is an old two screw clip Military with the black NiTi coated blade and ALL hardware blackened in NiTi. I believe that most of these were tested to destruction. 10-15 years old. The edge has never been used as you can still see the black all the way to the cutting edge. The blade finish is complete and no real areas to note except where the blade slides against the handles when closed. That black spot on the back is just oil. My other one is this way too. I've been collecting Spyderco for 15+ years and this is only the 2nd one I've personally seen or held. Unmarked blade is either ATS-34 or CPM-440V
So what is wrong with this knife??? Well you can see the lock goes all the way to the other side, so it needs to be a collector's display knife or fixed by Spyderco. Like I said, most of these were either held by a collector or military operator to evaluate. I has just some light marks on the clip edges from being in a shop in Denver where it was hiding. Mu suggestion is you leave it as is and just admire it as a piece of Spyderco history.
