Gentlemen:
For your consideration is this Vest Bowie in Afzelia Xylay/CPM-154. The tang extends 3/4 of the way into the handle and is set with G/flex marine grade epoxy and a 1/16" stainless pin. The solder joint is perfectly executed around the double guard with no pinholes. In order to bring out the maximum figure I hand sanded the handle to 2500 grit and waxed the wood rather than darken it with a buffer. Very light in the hand and nice to carry with its horizontal RH sheath. Superb fit and finish. I hope you like it!
