Imagining it wouldn't be too hard, actually. That khukuri or one very similar to it was the inspiration for the Jange model

That knife is exquisite. The jange is very nice, but is a pale imitation of this one. This has a subtle recurve towards the point, looks a bit thinner, and just sitting there looks razor sharp and has a beautiful belly to it. And the cho! What fantastic workmanship. I think a standard handle would be easier to swing, but the setup shown looks great.
BTW, I have no idea why anyone is being banned or censored. (?) I support all the moderators completely of course, and am fully willing to acknowledge that I am totally clueless about why this posting or verbiage is at all inappropriate enough to get someone kicked out, but I don't see one thing objectionable to anything posted in this thread. To the contrary, this kind of info and background on the knives we love is something we should be actively seeking out, not censoring, and John Powell is a good example of similar input that we welcome.
(If someone knows and doesn't want to go into it here, then I understand, but would welcome an explanatory PM.)
Obviously, that revelation and my opinion don't count for anything, it's just my .02¢ worth.

Norm
P.S. Ask and ye shall receive! OK, it's been explained to me and I finally get it, and would have earlier if I had read all of the first posts more carefully; instead I was fixated on the cool pics!
As usual the Moderators are on it and ahead of me and will let us know. I just wanted to go on record welcoming this kind of first hand info as something that really adds to the forum.
Thanks to the (unnamed! Your secret is safe with me! (-

forumite who filled me in. I was confused by all the peripheral posts talking about banning as if it had already been done.
