Hello
I am stumped on this one,
I just got a telemecanique altiver 11 vfd
It powers up. The fan runs and the screen reads ready. But I am not getting power to the motor.

my motor is a 3 phase 1hp baldor.

I wired everything as follows
wires t1 t7 to u on the drive
wirest5 t2 to v on the drive
wires t3 to t9 w on the drive

t4 t5 t6 are wired together

I am trying to figure if i am missing something or if the drive is bad.

A few things to try:

With the VFD on, spin your motor by hand in the direction it normally spins.

If it spins fine, then you've lost a phase from your VFD, and you'll only be able to run your motor at about 57% of its total RPM (for a wye-wound motor)

If it doesn't spin with a manual bump, try switching the A phase and the C phase going to your motor (either the black and blue wires OR the brown and yellow wires)

I haven't looked up your specific VFD and motor, but IN GENERAL those are the issues. Hope that helps.

Shoot me an email if you're still having problems. I'll try and walk you through it

Thanks
Nothing when I spin the motor by hand. It spins freely with the vfd on.
Seems like the vfd is not sending power to the motor

I have it wired as follows

motor wires t1 and t7 to u on the vfd
motor wires t8 and t2 to v on the vfd
motor wires t3 and t9 to w on the vfd

wires t4/t5/t6 are wired together within the motor

My genesis vfd is wired this way also.

Okay, Let's first make sure you have this set up right:

I'm assuming you're using a 110V power supple (let me know if you're using 220V)

The (usually) black wire should be on the L1 terminal on the LINE side; The white wire should be on the terminal marked N or XO or COMM etc. The green or bare wire needs to be on the ground terminal (typically a line with three hash marks below it, or marked G or GRD)

Terminal U needs to be on the "A" phase from the motor

Terminal V needs to be on the "B" phase from the motor.

Terminal W needs to be on the "C" phase from the motor.

Hope that makes sense.

t4-t7 wire together

t5-t8 wire together

t6-t9 wire together

U-t1 wire to vfd

V-t2 wire to vfd

W-t3 wire to vfd

Is that what you mean/

i am not quite sure what a wye wound motor is.
So i am i correct in my response on how to wire it
I hope that makes sense
