VFD question

That one's going to take 220 single phase input and convert it to 3 phase. If you've got a motor needing 220, the controller is going to need it as well. The controller won't be able to jump to 110 to 220. You may have to bite the bullet and wire up a 220V outlet, or drop motor size to 1.5 hp or less. Looking at the website, the biggest rating on the VFD taking standard 110V is 1 hp.

Wow! Another night owl.

You will have to use a 220-240 V input to get 220 V out of a typical VFD. The detailed product description says "230V 1-PHASE INPUT/3-PHASE OUTPUT". You will only be able to get about 1 hp out of a 110 V supply due to the 15 A current limit. If you can connect to a 220-240 V supply, that would be a pretty good buy. Teco (Westinghouse) is not a fly-by night manufacturer and $180 is a pretty good price for a 2 hp.

I have a TECO VFD I use on my disk grinder that takes a 110vac input and gives a 3phase 220 vac output. It works great. But, it is only rated for 1hp and I bet that's about the limit you will find a 110 to 220 VFD. I am pretty sure the one in the link above takes 220 input as I Googled TECO JNEV-202-H1 and some of the links said 220 1ph in and 220 3phs out. 220vac is almost guaranteed to be at your breaker box. It should not be that hard to add.
