VG-10 vs CM154 vs D2 in a EDC knife.

I invested in the Wicked Edge sharpening system. It locks the blade in place so you can get a perfect edge angle, and it has multiple diamond sharpening stones. I reprofiled my 40-degree Benchmade Bone Collector in D2 to a 30-degree edge, and it was a breeze. I never knew D2 could take such a beautiful edge so easily. Good tools really make a difference.
I am very happy to hear that. Most of the times in the forums you also hear about problems with D2. That being said doesn't it cost $300 if you want the fine stones? That is a good chunk of money.

You are correct. It is a good chunk of money. I added the super-fine ceramic stones and diamond paste stropping pads to the package. About the price of an exceptional knife, like the Sebenza. But being able to put a perfect, mirrored edge on every knife I own is priceless.

I am SOLD!! I am putting this on my must get list. There is something to be said about getting the knives you have scary sharp vs. buying a new knife that isn't.

i own a Delica and a Mini Grip and where i live on the west coast neither of them rust. if rust resistance is a big deal, then go with the delica. if you want a heavier duty blade with a little more aesthetic value, go for a mini griptilian(my favorite).

hows the edge retention/ease of sharpening on D2? how does it stand up to 154cm OAL?
not trying to differ from the OP, i just wanna see if anyone has a comparison...
