Vic Cadet, or Pioneer.

If you like the Farmer, then you may also like the Electrician Plus.

Quite right. But the OP said ...

How good is the can opener on them? I like chili so I probably would use that to open canned tomatoes alot.

Tell your brother to get the Pioneer, PM your address and I'll send the Cadet my dad gave me to you. You'll have to wait since it's in a Conex. That way you'll have both and you can pick.
I like the p-38 as a can opener, I hate chili.

No I couldn't impose on you any more. But thank you.
p-38? what's that?

I told him to ask for a Farmer, that saw looks useful. How hard is it to keep sharp (I'm just learning). Could I use it for bone?

I am not a steel specialist, but the steel used on Victorinox knives is not very hard and therefore very easy to sharpen. I have sharpened an old Spartan recently by using the Lansky Crock Sticks system and it is very sharp now.

Picked up a cadet today and i love it. It has the best feel in the pocket of all my knives, but my edc changes every day when i wake up somedays cadet some days hiker.
