VIC Spirit-where to attach lanyard or keyring

Where on the Vic spirit can you attach a lanyard or key ring. The only place I see is the little cutout on each side of the plier hinges which is not ideal because it is not at the tip of the tool where most keyrings are on knives and SAKS

The placement is odd, but it still works for a lanyard attachment point.

Not at all. The clip doesn't interfere with the individual tools opening or closing no matter which side it's attached to and it's also out of the way when using the pliers. I've carried it in my pocket clipped to a belt loop and it's also a good fit in the sheath with the lanyard attached to a belt loop for added security, especially around water.

I attach the lanyard in the same way, but I don't use any hardware to attach it.
