Victorinox Cadet file/blade swap

I was talking to a retired Marine friend, he has a 1980's Cadet with a small clip blade.
This would be more useful for emergency surgeries.
That or a scaled down awl like the pioneer.
But the more I think of it the small blade would be better (clip or pen).

The cadet 2 was a discontinued model of days gone by. A very nice alternative model at that. It seems like Victoroinox is in the business more and more of limiting the choices of models. I've never fathomed their business theory's.
