Victorinox Executive

I've been carrying my Executive for many years now, probably since 1999. It's my most-consistently carried knife; no matter what other knife(s) or tool is on me, the Executive is in my RF pocket, so long as it's somewhere a knife can be legally carried. Its black scales are all scarred up from EDC, but it works as good as day one. I have used every tool on it, except the key ring, and find some use for it every day.

The Executive is possibly the most underrated Vic SAK, IMO. To me, it's the perfect size for EDC. And while I like the Classic and Rambler, I find them less comfortable/slightly awkward to use in comparison to the Executive. IMO, it's the perfect penknife.

Absolutely +1. I carry mine in my RF pockets as well, clipped to either a Fenix E01 or E05.

The Director is nice, but I need to have the toothpick and tweezers that my Executive has. That allows me to also carry something like the Alox Cadet if I want something with a slightly larger blade and tools.

I had one of these many years ago...liked the orange peeler blade. Now that I have RA, I don't really carry anything under an 91mm SAK or so.

I have always found that SAK tweezers are just ok, I carry full sized real tweezers work much better, toothpicks are easy enough to fabricate.

I need to have the toothpick

The toothpick, along with the corkscrew, are two thing I have never used. For me, the toothpick isn't really sturdy or pointy enough to use on teeth, and I'm really not sure what else to do with it. But many guys like it. I do like having the tweezer, though, so for me the utility of the cellidor scales outweighs the aesthetics of the alox.

I mostly use the toothpick for digging/moving lint, etc., out of the knife itself. For that, it isn't necessary for it to be overly sturdy. On some occasions, I might use it lightly on some teeth; but again, I'm not digging with it, so for what it does, strength isn't really a factor. And for those who might say 'yuck', it's very easy to wipe off the Vic toothpick after use to keep it clean.

I also like the Executive's smaller blade a lot. A lot more than the blade of the Classic/Rambler. The Exec's small blade is a bit smaller than the Classic's, but for a small 'pen knife blade', I prefer how it feels in use. It feels more 'solid', if that makes sense. I actually use the tiny pen blade more than the larger blade.

The executive rides in my skinth p3, it's the perfect size and has everything I need on a daily basis. I love the scissors, bigger than a classic but smaller than the regular size and excellent for everything especially quick grooming of beard hairs or hangnails. I will say though given the chance I would make a few changes. I would love to see the sd tip on the nail file instead of the nail cleaner, and maybe like a larger sized small phillips and bottle opener like on the rambler.
