Victorinox Knives: What's the Draw?

30 years ago, I carried a red, alox SAK Pioneer. One of the most useful knives I've ever owned. I have a Scibeer custom SAK, a climber with alox scales. It's like a Soldier with scissors. I also have a Cadet II for EDC at work when I have to wear dressier clothes.

I have a few Victorinox knives around, Cybertool 41 and 29, Swiss-tool, an old Camper, a Soldier, my retired Pioneer and a couple of kitchen knives. My wife and kid have Midnite Managers. They are light duty, but are very handy to have around.

I concure! My Cadet II gets used more then any other knife I carry, and very sheeple!

I cannot imagine anywhere short of a cop shop, airport, or school where anyone would be intimidated or surprised by someone pulling out a Victorinox SAK for a task.

If there is such a place, please let me know where it is, so I can avoid it.

I have alot of SAKs. I have the Alox Farmer, Swiss champ plus, the Super Tinker, The Deluxe Super tinker, Huntsman, Vic OHT, Vic Adventurer, and Various others but the one little SAK that I love and carry in my pocket all of the time is a Vic sportsman II. That along with my Leatherman Wave is a perfect combination. Trust me, I have tried almost everything else and have almost gone broke doing so. I love all of my SAKs dearly but that Sportman II is the right pocket size. It seems to be a little smaller than normal SAKs but not as small as a classic. Its just perfect and I think I paid 7.00 for it. It has blade, can opener, bottle opener, nail file, reamer, corkscrew, toothpic, tweezers. All of the blades are as tight as the day it was new. I just love that little knife.
