Here is my First SAK Mod. Used a Course Diamond EZ-Lap for the teeth. Worked down to a S-Fine. Dressed up in leather as an optional carry.

nice job. when i saw the first pic i thought you had murdered your poor knife, but then i saw that it was only the rough cutting.

i like that sheath idea. it occured to me to put a large folding knife in a sheath like that, but i never really did anything with it. very well executed.

Why did you feel you needed to alter the blade edge? Just curious.

I stalled on buying a OHT because of the serrated main blade, but it works fine and the serrations are easy to touch up-- they are even and relatively shallow, not like the varied and deep ones that Spyderco and others use. Ain't no doubt about it, they are sharp.

Nice mod!
I did the same thing to mine about 10 months ago.

Lately i've been carrying my new Wenger Ranger 61 more than my Vic OH Trekker.
Its substantially bigger than the OHT.
For comparison its like a Buck 110 compared to a Buck 112.
I'm more of a Vic fan (my Vics outnumber my Wengers about 13-1) but i'm liking the Ranger 61.
The Ranger one hand opening is a little smoother than the Vic but the blade is not in the middle layer like it is on the Vic.
The opening hole is much bigger but for left hand use the bottle-opener blocks about 40% of the hole making it very awkward to thumbopen left-handed.
I have however gotten used to opening it left-handed by using the tip of my forefinger.
But i'm ambidextrous so its really not that big a deal for me.
The Ergonomics are very good but on the downside those panels are thick!
The Wenger is just two layers thick but due to the panels it is actually a couple of milimeters thicker than the three layer Vic OHT.
Overall i like it a lot but i'm glad i didn't get the 4 layer version, than would have been too hand filling for me.
Right now its paired with a Leatherman XE6 so i still have access to other necessities i like saw and scissors!
lol.
