victorinox or leatherman ?

If money is no object, then almost any Victorinox multi would be my choice. If you're in the spending money only when there's a sale on something really worth having and using, then a full size, yet highly pocketable Leatherman Sidekick, which has a street price of anywhere from $39.00 to $65.00 can be had today for $18.00. At that price, you can buy a couple for XMAS gifts.
 
I never carry a Leatherman anymore, but I'm never without SAK, including when I'm deployed overseas.
