Victorinox Soldier: evergreen from 1891

Hurrah, it's Alfredo! I've missed your voice, pictures, and rambles; so nice to see you again. :)

Agreed, in every respect.

This ios very kind from your part, mate! :-) Many thanks!!

I was soo busy with the knive's magazine, and I had not traditional knives too introduce you. Ciao!!

Vic would have a gold mine on their hands if they brought that pattern back, a special offering perhaps!

Thanks for sharing.

Excellent post! Thanks so much for putting that together.

You're welcome! :-) I agree, a new clip-point SAK shoul be very nice to see. There was a Wenger like this, if I remember well.

I think it was their collaboration with Buck. It looked like a cool knife, but I remember hearing they had Q.C. issues.

I'd love to see them try it now, although it would have to be Victorinox that does it, now that Wenger are gone.

Anyone know why the soldier 08/trekker has the chisel edge (and the forward serrations for that matter)? It's a great knife, I am just interested in the thinking that went into those two features.

Great post Alfredo, thanks for sharing!

That "Model 08" looks brand new, and pretty robust.
Do you know how rare it is to find them in that condition? Is it something one might find in surplus shops in Europe?

Find one "Modell 08" in this conditions is fairly rare, I spent years looking at. You can't find it in a shop here in Europe :-)
