I just got one! I set the clock already. I like it on Military time. The thermometer I set to Fahrenheit. I cannot figure out how to program the altimeter and barometer. I haven't really messed with the alarm, countdown, and timer yet. I will later. But if someone can explain how to properly set my altimeter and barometer, that would be great. As well as proper procedure for checking both before setting them and how often they should be re calibrated.

Thanks.

And yes, it will be my EDC.

I don't own one. but have you looked for the instructions online? How do you intend to carry this? In a bag? Will it sit on your desk?

I could almost justify buying one for the "gee-whiz" factor alone. But it's too expensive to leave sitting on my desk at work for fear of theft, yet too big to actually carry around. and to leave it at home would be a shame too.

BTW, the instructions should be in the case, under the plastic molding. See this video around 0:25.

I got it now. The instructions that came with it didn't help. Victorinox doesn't have instructions online for this model. But, they do have instructions for another model with the same electronics. Those were detailed enough when combined with searching online for my areas elevation, barometric pressure, etc. Surprisingly, I didn't set the elevation. I installed fresh batteries and set the time before going on my merry way. I checked online for my elevation and it was right on target plus or minus a few a feet. How is that possible if I never calibrated it? I then figured out the barometric pressure bars give the pressure over four hours. They were all level. I think that means no changes in the last four hours. That would make sense for my area. I just checked it out right now, it says it's falling. Though the bars are only two high. I think that means a little change has occurred in a downward trend. The one thing I was hoping to be very accurate was the thermometer. It seems now mater where I put it, it's always at least 5-10 degrees to warm. There is a bit of redundancy on this tool, though most of it is on the back side. Where they could have added a lot more tools if they wanted to. Better tools. Two hooks? Who needs two? And why not put the nail file on the back of both of them? It's not like someone would complain if it only came with one hook that had a nail fail. "Aw damn! This hook sucks now that it has a nail file patch on the back!"
On the other hand, a few more blades and saws would be appreciated. But overall it's a cool knife. I looked at the other models and this one just fit.
