Hello,
since some members asked me to do a WIP about making my own Steel alloys, here it is
The videos are old, so its not really a WIP and some aspects of the process have changed, but i think to get an idea of how it works they should be fine.
The text is in german, so if anything is not clear to you, feel free to ask.
The first video shows the preparation of the alloying elements, the melting and the casting.
The second shows the forging.
The third shows the new furnace i use now.
The fourtht shows the hanging hair test with a knife made of my own steel.
