VIDEO: Boss Jack in the Amazon Jungle

That was excellent!

Did you use the choil a lot?

I use the choil when I choke up to do fine carving. I also like it because it gives a little bit more space between the edge of the blade and my hand. I've been tired/sweaty before and had a choil save me a nasty cut.

Actually there was NO rust. I did not need to sharpen it when I got home. The pictures of the knife next to the ruler and on the scale are after pics.

Thanks guys for the compliments on the video. If you look around on my youtube channel there is a 14 part series about the Amazon trip.

Really good work on the short film. Hard to believe it didn't need sharpening. Good job

It becomes very apparent very quickly why orange handles are great on knives. Towards the end of the day you're so exhausted that you make mistakes like setting the knife down and forgetting where you put it.

Absolutely agree that the contrasting colours are crucial, especially in the dark! Another plus, at least in my part of the woods, is the (perceived) less 'threatening' look of orange handles..

That is a motivating video; great job.. Haven't pulled the trigger yet on one, but after the vid... you motivated me :)

Sweet! Glad you liked the video. The Boss Jack is a pretty usable knife. I can envision a lot of different scenarios where it would be perfect.

Here is the video for the Scrapyard Scrapivore. I don't have a login over there or I'd post it on their forums. If someone would be so kind, it would be awesome if you could share it with those guys. I think this might be the only knife review in existence with a car chase and an explosion. LOL!

At least I'm not the only Iowan who knows what a Busse is.

I've got two Boss Jack's ordered. I managed to restrain myself for quite a while, just picking up a CG for a friend. But I had a moment of weakness this week and ordered a pair of LE's.

I have a friend in Des Moines who must have 50 Busse knives. He is the one that introduced me to them. I have a Badger and a Boss Jack. The Badger went missing somewhere in my house but I'm about to move so I'll find it during the move I'm sure.

Damn!! Love your vids, absolutely great job mate!
Has a definite tarantino flavour to me.. (but what do I know?!) - with the effects and background music.

How long does it take you to put together a sub-3min vid?

When I first started it took forever but I'm getting faster. Thanks for the compliment!

I don't have 50 but there are a few of us in Iowa.
