VIDEO: Boss Street Cutting Cardboard.

That is one skill I never perfected. I just can't seem to get knives as sharp freehand on stones as I can on the beltsander. I would think if you are that good with stones then you would kill em' with a belt sander.

I learned to sharpen knives from my Grand Father when I was 13. ;)

Used to use an old puck with no oil on it, it was the same thing I used to sharpen my axes and hatchets with.

When I was in the USMC I just had a simple cheap Tri-Hone that I kept in my locker. I sharpened so many K-Bars and others for people over the years I was in that I lost count.

I am still hesitant to get a belt sander. I just know I will screw something up. Question for you though, if I wanted to get a belt sander just to touch up, is it worth while to but a leather strop on it to make it laser sharp. Right now I just use a polishing wheel to give it the last laser sharp touch.

This is what I use free handing today. :)

Spyderco Professional stones and the Ceramic hone from my Edge Pro. :D

I can put an edge on very fast if I have to.

I just spent about 20 minutes the other day breaking down a big old pile of boxes with my Papy.

I notice the elf choil catching every now and then.

I did not notice the elf choils as much until I EDC'ed a a fixed blade without one.

Nice vid! I always learned to cut away from myself though:eek::D

+1 My uncle was a butcher and he didn't have much to say except always cut away from yourself.

+1 looks like a nice edge on that knife.
