My god somebody get this man subtitles! I can barely hear you over the birds!

Normally this is where I'd comment on your video, but wasn't kidding when I said I couldn't hear you...

Nice blade, though.

Just turn up you speakers a little. :)

I can hear it clear, or I wouldn't have uploaded it. :)

I had trouble hearing you too. When you can't get a good mic and studio conditions, you can compensate by putting some conscious effort into trying to speak clearly and projecting or "throwing your voice" into the camera. You can also try putting subtitles or annotations in the video. Just some points to consider for future vids.

Dang Ankerson, maybe you should open a knifeshop. Every time i turn around you've got another knife. You've got it bad Brother! Nice Review,

Oh crap I want one so bad....... dude, you're killing me! :D

But we need some close ups of that bad boy!

And let's see the sheath while you're at it...;)

Doug, I am doing knives that I have owned for awhile now, I have had that one for over a year. I still have more that I still have to do. :D

It's really a nice blade, extremely well made.

get the southern comfort sheath for the nat, they pack easy i am toting a trailmaster as we speak, WTSHTF you will be glad you have it.

Thanks for the vid. I could hear most of it, I laughed when it sounded like you said it has a "dismal taper". Why so sad Natchez ?:(

I'm torn between the Natchez and the San Mai Laredo Bowie. The Natchez probably isn't much of a chopper, but DAMN what a knife.

I would get the Natchez, I have both it and the Laredo. The Natchez is a much better knife, better handle and heavier with a wider blade.

The true field knife would be the SM III Trail Master, thicker tip etc.

Ideally I agree, but I like a bit of concavity in my clip points - something about that wicked false edge.

The Natchez is a remarkably wispy and lively knife, but doesn't have a lot of weight forward on the blade. On the other hand, the sweet spot for chopping on the Natchez is probably just due south from where the clip begins, and this isn't a whole lot closer to the handle than the sweet spot on the Trail Master...

I wish Cold Steel would do something like the Hells Belle or one of Bagwell's other fighters. The Natchez is awesome but I can't see how it can feasibly be carried, unless you are in the habit of wearing full length dusters to town. :D

Well, I want one, even if I just put it on the mantelpiece as a 'house knife' and never carry the thing.

The one thing I have always liked about Cold Steel is that they are not afraid to produce blades that are seriously out-sized and larger than life.

The new solid proof videos are on Youtube! They've got the Natchez stabbing through a silver dollar, even butchering a hanging pig carcass using only freehand slashes. :jerkit:

Plus, it seems to chop well, too!

That about settles it. I need one of these knives.

Well Mr Ankerson, sir, thanks to YOU - look what turned up yesterday. :D
