I went all the way up to the 6000 grit Polishing tape.

Started with 120 grit to reprofile the edge, then 220, 320, 600, 1000, 2000 Tape and then finished with the 6000 grit tape.

The 6,000 grit Edge Pro tapes are like 10,000+ grit whetstone.

No need to strop, no burrs.

I can turn free hanging hair into fuzzies now, it's possible. That's on a belt sander though, then hand stropped with green compound, then pink compound.

Know you know why I was keeping my hand away from the blade.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that Busses don't cut or can't take an edge because they can.

Not bad for a 31 ounce knife with a 10" blade that's 5/16" thick.

I try and tell people that a blade doesn't have to be thin to cut, it just has to be sharp and it doesn't have to have a 10 degree edge on it either.

I put a 40 degree edge on that blade.
