Video games and YOU!

Got a 360. Love Fallout, Gears of War, Read Dead Redemption, and Dragon Age. Been playing a lot more lately cause it's been cold and miserable out, and I'm a tropical rodent at heart. Once the weather warms up some, my 360 will see a lot less love.

I had, and still have, the Atari 2600 and the NES. My borther had a Sega Genesis, he let me play every once and a while. Never got anything else until for some odd reason my Mom got me a Wii last year for my b-day. It's black, and I watch Netflix with it other than that I really don't do anything with it  All these new fangled things, I really don't get.

So since we really didn't have any cool games to play for the longest time we spent a lot of our time outside playing with knives. :D

I was around to see the birth of Atari, Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox. I have played them all, and do enjoy some gaming when I can.

My faves are Resident Evil, and Modern Warfare. If I ain't shootin, stabbin', and blowin' shit up, it ain't a vidja game, IMO.

No Handcannon here, can't get a 5 star rating with every character in Mercenaries yet.

I'd like to unleash a pair of Tactools on those Ganados though

Commodore 64 with a tape recorder
favorite game "The last ninja":thumbup::thumbup: and alot of other c-64 games.

Right the heck ON! Had a few games on tape for the C64, a few cassette ones (still have Temple of Apshai) and a metric fargload of C64 games on diskette. If I had to pick out one favorite from back then... maybe Archon?

Currently (and for quite some time) I've been playing Neverwinter Nights (for pretty graphics and stuff) and Angband for character based RPG goodness.

I remember getting Atari back in the early 80s. Didn't play it much. Never did like them there vi-dee-o games much.

I started with an NES, moved on to SEGA genesis and then jumped directly to the XBOX after that. Now I'm using the xbox360 and playing Black Ops

OK, I'm old.
Odessy 1000 in the 70's, Commodore 64 in the 80's, Tempest at the arcade & in bars in the late 80's & early 90's, solitaire on the laptop now.

Now THIS is my kind of thread!

I'm not nearly as old and wise as you guys, but I play mostly PC games. My favorites being Portal, and League of Legends. I also play World of Warcraft.... I can't wait for Guild Wars 2 and Portal 2. OH! and who doesn't love Starcraft?!

I can't play FPS's for the most part though, motion sickness issues :(

I Suck at FPS. My youth was spent outdoors so I came into the game (pun) kinda late, we didn't really have the extra $$ when I was a kid. Now...I have Wii, 360 and PS3....love Red Dead and pretty much any cheesy superhero game I can get my hands on..usually can only play in the wee hours of the morning because of kids, work, work, work and if I neglect my blades they can and will bite!

I started with Mattel handheld football, moved on to Microvision LCD(Star Trek, Bowling),Colecovision (Venture,Donkey Kong jr., Zaxxon), then IBM PC games (Ultima, Kings Quest, etc), Sega Genesis(Mortal Kombat, lots of cool RPGs), Playstation 1 and 2(more RPG then my all time favorite God of War 1 and 2), and now we just got a Xbox 360 with Kinect. I think I had a Vectrex for about 2 weeks, but I returned it.

I got into FPS's with Unreal Tournament on the PC. Love it!

Lol, I had a Commodore, with the cassette deck, but never got to play it that much cause dad was always messing with it. About the only game I am really excited about is Portal 2. That I will sit down and play. Deus Ex 3 should be fun too, but if it was a choice between the two, Portal 2.

We can be friends then. When I went to PAX (gaming convention in seattle) I stood in the Portal 2 line for over an hour to see the demonstration of the game, and get a T-Shirt. It sounds like the game is going to be awesome!! and it should be longer than the first one as well.

I had the Vic 20 and then graduated to the Commodore 64.
I still have the Commodore 64, disk drive, tape deck, a few game cartridges, and joystick.
I need to see if that stuff is worth anything on the 'bay. I sure as heck don't want to keep it for anything.

Atari all the way. I still have two 2600 systems and a 7800 system with about 50 games in storage at my parents. I'd like to get them out and play them, but they're stuck under so much other stuff that it would take a week of hard labor to get to them.

My brother was the gamer in the family. He was always (well, still is) getting the newest system available. I played a few of the games but wasn't ever a gamer.

My boys have a 360 and a TON of games. I'm just not into it anymore. We got several of the Cabela's games and a couple of the fishing games that I play every once in a great while. The other stuff is over my head. I'm not going to lie, the controller kicks my ass. :o

Of course, when someone rags on me about it, I bust out some Wilderness/Survival/Knife skills on them and say "Can YOU do that?" Yeah, I didn't think so. :D

Ok, who had that football game that was about 6" wide, 9" long, and about 2" thick, that was just red dots that you moved with the arrows. I still have that and play the hell out of it. Was that the Mattel football game, because I remember it having a black chassis, and green stickers that looked like stadium seats.

You could play 1 or 2 players, and when you played your friend, usually, you wound up in a fight, LOL.
