There will be a Becker cameo/message in all my future videos....

I am glad to know that I am the manliest man I could be :D

Thanks for the vid, I am actually looking for a hammock.

Sweet hammock vid.

I have an ENO also! I made my own UQ/TQ from primaloft. Utilized my bad ass manly sewing machine skills! Tarps are really easy to make if you grab yourself some sil nylon.

I like your idea there with its simplicity along with a nice cozy factor!

Enjoy your hammock and your becker!

Still need to get myself a BK9! Have to hold off other knife purchases to save up! Haha.

I've been telling everyone...checl the WalMart in your area to see if they carry the blue "Equip" nylon hammocks. I was so impressed with it I bought a second one. Bombproof and only $24.00. Great starter hammock...much better than my first, which was a Byers Amazonian. Also I've been posting about using these tie down straps I found as suspension...they are super easy to set up, and the hooks have a large eye in them, allowing for multiple uses like how my stuff is set up in the video.

I wish I had a sewing machine...lots of stuff I would do. I got by with that fabric glue and some reinforcement stitches with heavy polyester thread. I recently got the Guide Gear 12X12 nylon tarp from Sportsmans Guide...for $19.00 it is unbeatable.

The Guide Gear stands as one of the best deals out there for tarps. Unfortunately, I've heard they are tough to find since suppliers run out of stock rather quickly. If you need anything sewn, I may be able to help you out. Just keep in mind, I am no pro and the stitching won't be immaculate.

L4NE4,

The hammock world expanded significantly over the past few worlds giving you a vast selection to choose from. ENOs are great starter hammocks due to their durability and simplicity. Grand trunk manufactures traveler hammocks that you can find online for a low price. However, if you would like a bug net you would have to look to the cottage crafters. Also, its very popular to make your own whipped hammocks and customize them in whatever fashion you make like.

If anyone needs tarps I am willing to trade tarp marking skills for knives :)

Thanks for reminding me....I had planned on cannibalizing an Army bug net for mod-work. Time got away from me today though...

I just got the Guide Gear tarp...The new Sportsmans Guide catalog just came out last week.

Nice vid, thanks for sharing. I saw some "complaints" about the Guide Gear tarp. Not the quality, but the size. They said the advertised size was diagonally, not across. Is this true? Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, just wondering.

Sweet. Enjoy it!

A cheap bug solution can be found at your local fabric shop, tulle. It won't keep out the no-see-ums but it's extra light and readily available. Think of the concept as making a giant stuff sack that you put yourself in your hammock in to keep the bugs out!

I haven't measured it, but it says "12x12"....never heard of anyone measuring a tarp that way diagonally.

During bug season, I whip out the ENO Bug Guardian. But looking to make something that could be added to a hammock and a smaller, lighter pack size. Have some ideas, but haven't really fleshed them out yet.

Great concept and video! Oh, and thankfully my BK9 just arrived in the mail this week.

Dude, it is so weird to hear your voice hahahaha. Cool vid though.

BTW, what kinda scales you got on your 9? You put the grivory ones back on?

Great video man, thank you for posting it!

I have had a similar idea in the past, but never quite finished it. Thanks for the inspiration! Love my ENO doublenest, sooo comfortable and easy to travel with

Gotta love the bk9 pron at the end =D

Probably no weirder than the first time I saw you ranting about jellyfish...or some strange sh*t.

Yeah, A Becker Brother gave me some fresh grivs...I went back when I dyed my leather sheath black. It's the Johnny Cash of Beckers.

As soon as I have a sunny day and no kids I'm going to do a video of my tie down strap suspension setup, and all the different ways I've discovered you can use it. Also one of my main Doom-pack which is Becker-heavy without the cameo shots...

Son of a B#$@!!!! You are right! Those sneaky b@st@rds!! I just looked on the website and at the bottom it says exactly that. That means the real length is 8.5, which is crap (I like lots of cover). I suppose it is still OK if I do a diamond setup...I just don't like Diamond setups. I supposed if you KNOW it isn't going to storm or anything thats fine. The "16X16" actually has the dimensions I want. Now we are talking about $37. Still a deal I suppose. But I thought I had the perfect tarp.
