  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Video I just posted of a hammock mod I did...with a Becker surprise ending.

Probably no weirder than the first time I saw you ranting about jellyfish...or some strange sh*t.

Yeah, A Becker Brother gave me some fresh grivs...I went back when I dyed my leather sheath black. It's the Johnny Cash of Beckers.

LOL, that guy ranting wasnt me... I just shared the link thats all. His channel is the 2nd most subbed channel in Oz so as if it could be me.

Great vid. Northern Tool has a good selection of tarps as well.

Checked them out. Not the same kind of tarp. I have plenty of those. These are the lightweight nylon camping tarps. I'll probably bite the bullet and order a "16x16" (grrr!). Otherwise I'll be tweaking thinking my kit isn't complete. Once I get it my head that my kit needs something specific, I'm never satisfied till I get it. I've got about 6 heavy duty tarps, A Hammock Bliss Shelter Tarp and the Guide Gear. I have found that if you are buying one of those heavy duty tarps for a hammock shelter, the 8.5x11' size is perfect. Great amount of cover. More for car-camping. Lots of extra weight if you plan on packing it in somewhere.

What's the weight rating on those wally-world hammocks? I have a GT SBP, but don't always want something with a net.

Did you find the walmart hammock in the sporting goods section? I went by during lunch today and did not see anything like them..when i asked the lady behind the counter she thought I said Ham Hock and pointed me towards the meat...

They don't seem to be in all Walmarts it seems, but they are on the website and you can get free site-to-store shipping. Just search "Equip Travel Hammock"

The website says 400lbs but the hammock itself says 300lbs.

The latest....

The pause at the end is where I was looking around for my BK11 and didn't see it, so I grabbed the first edged tool I could find that was cool. So I missed my mandatory Kabar/Becker Promo.

Just picked up an equip hammock at walmart out in Ca for $24.95. I havn't had a hammock before and am going to try it out at home for practice and then to the river bottom at the Southfork of the kern. Is that your Walmart review of this item on Walmart.com? Thanks for the pointing in the right direction on a hammock at a reasonable price, looks like a good place to start.

I had my hands on the Equip hammock and just couldn't pull the trigger. Maybe next time. I'm too much in love with Grand Trunk.

Yeah, well nothing beats my ENO doublenest, but I believe three is one and two is none...and they are too good at that price not to grab a couple extra.

You will need some straps and some Biners and you'll be set. Yeah, it's the same hammock.

These are the last biners I bought. Great deal, especially if you have Prime. Good way to get the two you need.
