Mate I'm always well aware of the blade's movement. I remember the very first time I used this knife. My first thoughts were something to the effect "holy crap!!!! If I miss, this will really really hurt." And yes, the MOAB is very fast for its size. Love it!

I know. It's amazing. The TTKZ is certainly an amazing chopper, but as I said in the video, there's just that pure inertia behind the MOAB that gives it its chopping power. It would be interesting to see an INFI khukri with a similar blade length and thickness as the MOAB. That would be frightening!

Yes I have sharpened them myself. The KZ still has the original convex edge on it from Garth. I've just steeled it a couple of times to bring it back to hair popping after heavy use. The MOAB has a standard bevel edge that I've freehand sharpened once or twice on a diamond stone when it's really dull and dinged. I always finish them off on a strop or plain steel to knock the burr off and give it that final polish.

This pine is plain old radiata pine (pinus radiata). It's pretty soft compared to Australian native eucalypts. Some of those seasoned gum tree logs are like trying to split chunks of rock as you may have seen in some of my other videos. These pine trees are in my neighbours paddock and I have permission from them to hack em down as they are a weed. They are great for making knife chop videos :)

I haven't watched the vid yet, but as soon as I read the title I would have bet the MOAB was the winner…now to go watch it :)

Great job Rob!:eek::thumbup::thumbup: Perhaps when I win the lottery I can get a MOAB, or accumulate enough shop credits.:D

The MOAB only required half the chops that the Zilla did, and the Zilla is an amazing blade.:cool::thumbup:

I kept expecting a common brown to bite you the hind quarters....... or at least a Koala to scuttle over and maul you.
