Video - "Modern" Fire Making Methods

Wow. What's the deal with your char cloth there? It only takes me a coupla strikes to get it going. Seems there were plenty of sparks shooting off of the steel. Was it humid that day?

Its was probably a cut up fine weave cotton shirt that some course participant dumped at BOSS. The fine weave stuff doesn't work as well, at least in my hands. You need that big crumply hairy stuff.
 
Haha Sorry i couldn't resist. While the char cloth wouldn't light this came to mind. Great video. Keep em coming.
