Video: Ron Meekins, Bando Kukri Master

Is it me or they block with the khuk's edge?

Seems to me like a bad idea.

Some of the moves look more Japanese, some other Filipino.

If I was to use a khuk against a human, I would do it Filipino style.

Practice on edge, actual cut is on the wrist or arms, but can't practice it safely with people that level. Also, blade metal was cheap and had a tendency to crack and capture sword blade, leading to sequences for a disarm.

DIJ - I'll give you the same invitation that Charles Daniel did when you went into a rant about him. You're welcome to come by my dojo in Atlanta anytime. talk is cheap.

I'm done here.

Ron Meekings was a great friend and customer to HI and Uncle Bill. Thank you for the video, Alexs

The guardians of the god Kali also used silk scarves for strangulation. Doesn't leave marks. :D

Ahh, the infamous Thugees!

Also read about shastar vidiya, think its a sikh martial art based on old indian arts like wrestling and grappling and how they trained the warriors.

Yes, I've seen some demonstration videos of their melee weapon techniques, very interesting stuff with axes, sabres, katars, and khukuri even.
