VIDEO: Spyderco Para 2 S30V Push Cutting TP

I don't think that invalidates the notion that push-cutting is supposed to be done with the edge perpendicular to the medium.

:)

I have no idea what all that means but watch the video carefully. After starting the cut, the rest of it is not sliced - regardless of the angle of the blade to the TP, it is one continuous motion, dropping down through the paper and the relationship/position of the blade and paper do not change.

That's whatever he wants to call it cutting. Push/ drop whatever cutting, but he's definitely not slicing it. Push cutting sounds okay to me. ;)

Yeah it somewhat harder to push cut through it with a factory blade set at 30 degrees inclusive than with my Customs I did it with. Harder to get it started and keep it going because of the blade grind is thicker so is the edge.

Also some steels just plain cut more aggressively than others, M390, S90V and XHP cut extremely aggressive with a high polished edge.
