What I used was a 3" x 4" Landscape Timber to compare the 4 knives. Kept the videos short so you can really see the difference between these 4 blades. I took breaks between the videos to rest my arm.

Wow, the NMFBM is just a freaking BEAST. Amazing chopper. The BWM seemed to do very well for how light it is though. Nice reviews!! Thanks!

The BWM wore me out, so did the TM. :grumpy:

Had to really swing them hard, really hard compared to the FFBM and NMFBM. ;)

Cool videos Ank! I think your chopping technique might be slowing you down though. I hate to say that because I LOVE these videos. I really think it is though. have you tried cutting a much wider wedge? It seems like you get to a point and you are chopping perpendicular to the 3x4. I find it is best to make a wide wedge, the thicker the log, the wider the wedge, and come in at an angle and work your way around the tree if it is a large.

Kind of like this:

Either way it looked like you chopped the same way with all four knives but, that is where the heavy knife comes on top IMO, when you are chopping Perpendicular like I ended up having to do hear:

You can see I started with a wide wedge with the machete here:

But since the limb was just a foot parallel to the ground I couldn't "chop around the limb as well as I did with the tree (more like chop from under with a foot of room to angle in). It got to a point I was basically forced to either widen the wedge further or chop fairly perpendicular. The lightweight machete kind of ran out of steam and the FBMLE slammed through.

I hope this is helpful and is not taken in a negative way:)

Thanks again for the vides:thumbup::thumbup:

Yeah I know, but I wanted to get through it quick, I could have gone a little wider though. :)

It did show what knives of the bunch would muscle their way right through;). Thanks again Ank! :)

I don't think it would have mattered what I did with the NMFBM....

It has so much more penetration compared to the others with that Convex grind and fine edge.

You need an LE:D I know, you just got a new graphics card and lenses:p:D But next month:D:D

Yes, awesome videos Jim! Any time I see new videos from you I'm like "hell yes! Let's see what Ankerson has for us today!" ;) Seriously, excellent videos and the NMFBM is an amazing chopper. I've never seen it in action compared to a FFBM or a CS TM. The NMFBM make the CSTM look like a toy! hahaha :thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks man. :D

I am convinced that there is nothing else like it except the NMFBMLE that I don't have.

The TM isn't really a big powerful chopper like the NMFBM or FFBM, the BWM beat it easy today also.

After you buy a FBMLE you need to remedy this as well and buy one.;)

I posted earlier today about the next offering, that Jerry should make a NMFBM with Corrugated Bevel Technology and a 13 inch convexed edged blade. :D

thanks for the vids, Ank'!
would be nice to complete it with the CG FBM, and the LE BWM...;)

...nice workout!:D
