Thought you may like to see the standard Vigilante with clay coated w2 steel and blackwood scales. There is some nice checkering on there by my friend Blaine Barlow also.

Here is a closer look at the checkering. The scales have some simple carving that flares up and is lower and flatter for the checkering. The pins are put in afterward.

Its beautiful.

What is the process to accomplish that checkering in a border like that???

Dont you ever get tired of making the rest of us look bad?

Just kidding, amazing work as usual. Lines, hamon, guard and handle all look stunning.

That is outstanding Bruce! The blade, fittings, lines, textures... everything comes together so nicely.

Thanks guys for the good responses. Ive make allot of knives over the years but I think this is my favorite one. I forgot to say that it has a removable titaniun (light weight) framed handle also. The steel is some I bought from Don Hanson.
