Back in mid-March, I posted a knife for sale.

Vikaden responded he would take it.

Below is the chronological communications between us related to the transaction.



3/17 –
Cool deal.

I only accept USPS MO's. Any other form of payment will be returned.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, my companys been working me like a
dog, I know this is going to sound like a cop-out but my SO lost her job
and I have to make rent, if you can hang on a little longer I will still
take it but if you have to relist I understand, you can publicly flog me
if you want I deserve it : )

Well, once again I have not heard anything from you about the deal after asking for a status update.

If I do not have a response by Friday at 9:00 p.m. EST, I will post appropriate feedback on the GB&U, and relist the item.

I feel I have been more than fair, giving ample opportunities for you to complete the transaction you had committed to.

I do not understand your actions, or lack thereof.

Sad, but you are leaving me no other recourse.

On 4/3 I posted in the GB&U asking what “reasonable” was related to this situation.

4/28 I relisted the item.

Today, I am regrettably posting this recital of events.

You all can make up your own mind as to dealing with this person.

It's a shame this happened to you, I bought that Bog Dog from you last year, after only being a member for a short time, and you went above and beyond your responsibility as a seller to take care of me. This guy missed out on a good, reputable experience.

Sounds to me like he bought the knife without having the funds on hand. Then he tried to delay until he had money..which never happened. Just a guess.

You were more than fair and understanding Mike. :thumbup:


I would think that his guy should own up to his mistake and apologize for putting you through this.


I've sold knives to guys who have asked for a little time and it has always been cool because there was good communication. What this guy did was cowardly. :thumbdn:

One should never commit to a sale without having the money ready to go!!!

One should never agree to the terms of a sale unless he can get the MO sent ASAP. I bet if he had to pick up a knife at the PO he would make the time!!!

One should never string another member of BFC along like that and then use one of those "the dog ate my homework" excuses. If he had the money in hand initially and sent it as he should have the wife losing the job would have been irrevelant to the seller.

You are a very patient man...............
