Incredible piece of craftsmanship Stefan. A lot of fine detail and carving, yet not too much or over embellished. I think this suits a viking axe very well. The hidden knife just sends it soaring over the top. As a fan of axes as well as knives I tip my hat to you sir, well done!
 
at first I was expecting something historically-accurate. Well, I am happy that it was not. I like historic axes a great deal, but what you have done here is a creative triumph. very nice work, and great idea.
