Those look great:) I'm going to let the guys looking for a Sarge/KPH bite first. I have one in antler. Probably the best money I ever spent on a knife.

Rhododendron Sarge knife gone.

Holy Toledo

If I wasn't already well equipped with several versions of Kismet's handy little deer dissassembler, I'd be turning back somersaults about now. Best for me to just go brew a pot of coffee and whittle before greed gets the best of me. ;)

Sarge

Eighty-five Sarge knives sold to date as near as I can reckon.

This is the first villager format, and the first made by someone other than Bura.

Be well and safe.

hehehe...thought we wouldn't see you there, eh Kis?

*Nice* to see you my friend...

Good for you Tom! That's the one I liked best. I already have a bunch of the regular 7.5" 3 oz. sarges, so couldn't justify this. After a long time at that standard I saw two with antler at 8" and 4 oz. the other day.

Those are great candidates for refinishing/customization.

I've already got two. I don't need any more - but if I did, I certainly wouldn't mind having one of these.

The Sarge is my favorite HI little knife. Honestly, no outdoorsman should be without one. When I go camping, it gets used more than my khukuris do. It's a whole lot of knife for $35 and, with very minor modifications, is just about perfect for my needs. I hear that Kismet meant for these to be used for processing game, but I wouldn't know - it seems to do everything else just fine. Good steel, good heat treat, good geometry...and, in this case, excellent design.

I am very glad that we're seeing villagers now, and I know that their new owners will be very pleased with them.

Dave's mods to the Sarge: sharpen the clip to a very coarse edge, jimp the spine, and grind a choil into the ricasso. The guard doesn't get in the way if you want to go "over the top" with your index finger and actually works almost like a subhilt. The choil just makes things more comfortable. I prefer a more curved handle than what was offered today but my hands are on the large side and these did seem longer than the norm.

I would very much like to see the Sarge become a regular offering, moreso than anything else. It's the ideal little fixed blade and is priced just right for gift giving purposes. Anyone can afford to buy one. (Or to give one away.) And what a gift it is...

Kismet? I'm extremely pleased to see you. You must be justifiably proud of the monster that you've created.

I got one as a gift from someone...and use the heck out of the knife. In case that person is around...Thanks again!
