Anybody out there have a village utility?
I got one before Bill left,I love it.
I cut through several small trees 2"-3" in
diameter, cut through each one very easy.
It's a stout well built blade. I plan on getting a few more.
Take it easy.

I have a 19" villager with a Sirupati style blade with a chainpuri type handle.

I really prefer the chainpuri type handle with only a small brass diamond shape keeper since the rest is all wood and can be reshaped. I like to take down the wood behind the rings to make it easier to lock down my pinkie and ring finger while leaving the wood in front of the rings full size to absorb the shock.

I haven't really played with a villager utility blade. ( OK, so the one I did get had major surgery on it. Hope Yvsa gets it handled and sends pictures. I was fitting an elk antler handle on it and something got to my lungs. )

When Bill went to put a dui chirra (?) type blade off the Hanuman onto a wooden WWII handle things got reversed. The WWII 18" OAL style blade got fitted with a Hanuman wooden handle. I'm 5'4" and size 8 shoes, but if I only could take one with me...

Yikes - I've a 15" AK blade I need to rehandle I could do with wooden Chainpuri style handle. Hmmm. Nah, got something else in mind. And it's a very devious mind at that.

My village utility is almost an exact 20". It'a real good knife. The other day I went out and helped a friend clean up his property, clearing out underbrush and things like that. It performed well. The khuk has also taken out some very thick trees as well. This is what gets me about, i haven't sharpened it since I got it! Its not sharp, but it functions. As soon as I find so tripoli I plan to attempt a hair poppin' edge!

I too have a 20" General Utility Villager. This is indeed a fine blade. The hardening is excellent, the balance great, and the weight, just about right. I had to fix a crack in the handle, but besides that, it is a real champ! Enjoy yours!

I've got one too, even did a review. I'm not a hardcore kukri nut I have respect for both the old and new cutlery.
